Where did the name "Elle A Bites" come from and how do you pronounce it?
The name "Elle A Bites" (pronounced el-A-bites) is a play on words that also has significant meaning to us. Los Angeles is where we met and "elle" not only means "girl" in French but also contains Lilia's initials (LL) and the "A" that follows is for Anthony! We both love living in LA, but of course the City of Angels does have its nuances and we tried to incorporate that into our product names.


How do your products come packaged?
All our food products come packaged in your very own keepsake Weck jar that you can reuse to create your own little jar of happiness Share your culinary creations with us by sending in your photos and we'll post it on our play.pause.eat board!


When will my order ship and how long will it take to arrive?
As all our products are handemade to order, please allow up to 5 business days to ship out your order. If you need an order sooner, please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate. Most orders will be shipped using USPS priority mail and will arrive within 2-3 business days. USPS overnight express orders will arrive the next business day.


Is there a 'best by' date on your food products?
We do not use any preservatives in our sweets, so all food products should be kept in its original airtight Weck jar and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sun. Our gridlock nuts and shortbread cookies are best enjoyed within 4 weeks. All other food products, with the exception of our macarons, are best enjoyed within 5-10 days. Due to their delicate nature, our macarons are only available for pick-up or personal delivery. Macarons should be refrigerated and are best consumed within 4-5 days. For the most pleasurably tasting experience, allow macarons to come to room temperature for a good 1 to 2 hours before enjoying


Are your products prepared in a facility that handles nuts?
Yes. Our products are made in a facility that processes foods that contain wheat (gluten), milk, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, seeds, and chocolate. While some products may not contain all of these ingredients, trace amounts of them may be found in our products.


Can I include a gift card with my order?
Of course! Just let us know what you would like to say by leaving us a message in the "Comments, special instructions or gift messages" box at checkout and we'll be sure to include it in the package.


Do you ship internationally?
Unfortunately, due to cost and length of shipping time, we currently only ship within the US. Join our mailing list to be notified as new international shipping locations become available.


What is your return policy?
Our commitment to you is simple: to spread a little happy your way! We sincerely hope you enjoy our products as much as we do, but if for some reason you are not satisfied with your order, we happily accept returns. You may return products in its original, unopened/unused packaging for a full product refund, however, return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer. For returns on perishable items that have already been opened, please contact us and we will work with you to make you happy!
